I studied physics at the Vienna University of Technology and specialized in magnetic materials.

In October 1999 I graduated with a diploma thesis on Micromagnetic Simulation of Thermally Activated Switching in Fine articles. In March 2003 I completed my dissertation on Scalable Parallel Micromagnetic Solvers for Magnetic Nanostructures in the research group of Josef Fidler and Thomas Schrefl. After 11 years with Seagate in the US, I am now CTO at XENON Systems in Melbourne, Australia.
